Casa Benidorm
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 August 2026
This policy explains how Casa Benidorm ("we", "us") handles personal data when you contact us through WhatsApp, our website, or the booking platforms we use. We operate short-term holiday rental apartments in Benidorm, Spain.
Who is responsible for your data
Casa Benidorm is the data controller. If you have any questions about this policy or about how your data is handled, write to info@casabenidorm.com.
WhatsApp messaging
We use the WhatsApp Business Platform to reply to guests who write to us first. We do not send marketing messages, newsletters, or unsolicited contact of any kind. The only messages we start ourselves are practical ones tied to a stay you have already booked — sent by hand on the day of arrival, with your check-in details and a note when the apartment is ready.
Replies to your questions may be generated automatically by an assistant, with a member of our team available when a request needs a person.
When you message us on WhatsApp we receive:
Your WhatsApp phone number and profile name
The content of the messages you send, including any photos or documents you attach
The time each message was sent and delivered
We use this only to answer you and to manage your stay. Messages are not used for advertising, and we do not sell or rent your data to anyone.
Other data we collect
Booking details — name, email address, phone number, arrival and departure dates, number of guests
Guest registration — identity document details, where Spanish law requires us to register guests with the authorities
Payment information — processed by our payment provider or by the booking platform; we do not store full card numbers
Why we are allowed to use it
To perform our contract with you — arranging and delivering your stay
To meet legal obligations — guest registration and tax records under Spanish law
Our legitimate interest — answering enquiries and keeping our service running
Who we share it with
We share data only with parties who help us provide the service:
Booking platforms you reserved through, such as Airbnb or Booking.com
Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., which operates WhatsApp and transmits your messages
Our property management and messaging software providers
Spanish authorities, where guest registration is legally required
Some of these providers process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
How long we keep it
WhatsApp conversations are kept for up to 12 months so we can refer back to what was agreed. Booking and invoicing records are kept for the period Spanish tax law requires, currently up to six years. Guest registration records are kept for the period set by the applicable regulations.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to our using it. You can also ask us to send your data to another provider. Write to info@casabenidorm.com and we will respond within one month.
How to stop receiving messages
We only write to you if you contacted us first, or to pass on check-in details for a stay you have booked. There is no mailing list to leave. If you would rather not receive the arrival messages, tell us and we will send them another way.
Security
Access to guest data is limited to the people who need it to run the apartments. WhatsApp messages are encrypted in transit by WhatsApp itself. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be announced on our website.
